Avalon | Placemaking


Objective: Define and develop the brand and experience for Avalon—an 86-acre, $600MM community of shopping, dining, entertainment, living and working in the upscale enclave of Alpharetta, Georgia. 

Approach: We created the Avalon story and prescribed the environment and actions that would consistently build a great experience for retailers, residents, office workers and staff. We drove retail and residential leasing, developed online and onsite presence of the brand. Results: Avalon set a new standard for modern experiential retail, performing better than 99% of its peers. In July of 2016, the development sold for over $500m, more than any other property in the history of Atlanta.

Scope: (3 year engagement) Research, brand strategy and positioning, logo, visual system, brand guidelines, leasing pitches, signage guidelines, web site, video, interactive kiosks, advertising, events/activations
